Great Christmas Present Idea
November 30, 2007 6:39 am UncategorizedHi everyone!
Hopefully, you’ve been going over the Christmas vocabulary with your students using the Christmas Lesson Plan. December’s a short month for most of you and it won’t be long until you’re on vacation…
Anyway, I wanted to mention a great craft that works well as a Christmas present from the kids, for the parents. Take a piece of cardboard and cut it out so that it’s in the shape of a picture frame. It should have a hole in the middle. Let the kids paint and decorate it using red and green paint, sparkles, feathers, or anything else they might want to use. Then take a picture of each of your students (I was lucky enough to get a picture of each of them sitting on Santa’s lap.) or take a class picture.
Use black construction paper to cover up the hole. Make sure you are taping this to the back to that the nice artwork that the kids have done is visible. Using tape, stick the picture of their child in the middle of the frame. Now they’ll have a nice framed picture that can go on the refrigerator.
Make sure that you have the kids say “Merry Christmas” when they give it to their parents.
