Make a Snowman

Make a Snowman

Students can easily make a snowman to hang in the classroom.

Materials Needed:

  • construction paper cutouts for all of the snowman parts (Instead of cutting circles for the body, you can use paper plates, if desired.)
  • glue
  • cotton balls (optional)

Preparation
Cut out the different snowman pieces from construction paper. (Pattern coming soon.)
This should take 20 minutes for a class of 12.

In Class

  • Since there are many pieces to the snowman, it helps to have an example of a finished snowman to show the students. Explain that they will be making a snowman.
  • Pass out the pieces one at a time and explain to the students where this piece goes.
  • If desired, you can also glue cotton balls to the snowman to give him a more 3D look.

In order to make sure that your kids are properly making the snowman, make sure that you go through each step slowly and don’t proceed to the next step until all students have finished the first one.
